How have you imagined/constructed the rhetorical context of your paper?
I have constructed my paper in what I was taught a standard form. Which is an introduction with a thesis, then body paragraphs supporting my thesis, and then a conculsion.
Your audience?
I would like to consider my audience to be anyone, because you should be able to pick up my paper without reading Poulakos' or Smith's papers and understand what I am trying to say.
Your controlling purpose?
To use speaking in tongues to interpret Poulakos.
Your context?
My context includes portions Poulakos essay analyized by speaking in tongues.
Your strategies?
To attract the readers by an engaging introductary paragraph.
Why have you chosen this as your controlling purpose?
I think it is a great point that I can pull out multiple pieces from Poulakos.
Do you think it is effective?
Why or Why not?
I do think it is effective because my classmates think that is a great paper, and a great thesis to work off of.
"I believe that flexibility of voice leads to a flexiblity in all things." (Smith 10)
Why did you choose to include these quotations and examples in your paper?
I used this quote in two different spots in my paper to show that flexibility in your voice is something that you should want to have.
Do you think these quotations and examples "work" or accomplish the purpose you had hoped for, and why or why not?
Yes, this quote works because it relates to my paper and the points I'm trying to make.
Which specific changes have you made from draft #1 to draft #2, and why?
explain
I have fixed the question in my intro paragraph.
I put in a full overview of both stories.
What questions/concerns/issues do you want your instructor to address in her comments on your paper, and why? Specific
What goals am I hitting by writing this paper and which am I not addressing?
1. Describe your progress in the following areas:
Class participation/discussion
I think that I perform well in this class.
Your interpretation of the portfolio goals and assessment of your own progress towards meeting those goals.
I like to think that I am interpreting these goals correctly, but I feel that I am missing some goals. Due to the fact that I failed portfolio last time around.
Attendance
I have missed two class periods. Unfortunatly that is not good, but it could be a lot worse. I will try to be there more often.

"College Writing"
I think that college writing consists of a skill used by the writer that pulls the audience into their piece of writing. Obviously a step above high school writing, and pretty much acceptable in todays workplace. If you can take a piece of college writing and present it infront of a board of advisors for a business, and they cannot tell this is a college writer, you did a great job. Mission Accomplished.
A little bit about myself, this will be my first blog, and I do not read blogs on any type of habit. My job does not consist of me writing or posting things on the interent and possibly never will turn into a task of mine. I am a hands on person, and if I could be in a wood shop rather than in a class room, I would be. Facebook is a nasty habit of mine that probably gets checked an unknown, untrackable amount of times a day. Although I think Facebook is great, parents should not have them! Twitter is stupid in my thoughts, just an easier way to access Facebook, and Facebook isn't even hard to access. People are lazy now days and look for more and more ways to speed up simple processes. Simply said.
